Rodney speaks at schools (to students, administration, faculty, and parents), medical and behavioral health groups, law enforcement and community events/groups and more. Rodney brings credibility to the stage because of his time on CBS “Survivor”, but more importantly he is a mental health survivor. Rodney’s sister Natalie W. Lavoie and Cousin Roger Landry both died unexpectedly due to Drug Addiction. Losing his sister and cousin forever left Rodney with a hole in his heart and a resolve to reach people who may be suffering in silence. He has successfully conquered a variety of obstacles and mental health disorders such as PTSD, anxiety, panic and severe depression, which provides a platform for him to help ones hurting and struggling like he has. Rodney is devoted to changing the world by helping those living with pain like he has. His belief is that if those struggling begin pursuing their purpose in life and recognize the importance of how making good decisions impacts the rest of their life, they are more likely to choose a life-path conducive to success.
